Description
A new slow-floating minnow F-Select that can be used in situations where sinking lures (minnows, spoons, spinners, etc.) are not effective. It is effective in shallow water, drought rivers, drifting under a bossa, attacking multiple points in a row from a cross, and stealth searching for a long time quietly on the current downstream.
The lure’s ability to attract mountain fish by swimming slowly while biting the water in the range near the surface is unique to slow floating lures. Equipped with a center-of-gravity shifting mechanism for tungsten weight to achieve a large flying distance without blurring.
When tested in still water, F-Select 51 floats at a speed of approx. 3-4cm/sec (4lb. nylon), while 64 floats at a speed of approx. 5-6cm/sec with a fluorocarbon leader (6lb. fluorocarbon x 1m). For example, let the F-Select 51 dive down to 60cm by reeling, and let it drift freely (parallel to the shore with no action). How long can the lure stay entangled in the water until it rises to the surface? Depth 60cm / surfacing speed 3-4cm/sec = 20-15 seconds, so if the current speed is 60cm/sec, it means you can drift 12-9m, and if the current speed is 30cm/sec, it means you can drift 6-4.5m (60 or 30cm x 20-15 seconds). This distance is an unprecedented sustained fishing power. The drifting distance in the water can be further increased by mixing in a few slight shakes and dives.
